What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Head of People to scale DEEP 6 AI as an innovative talent-centric organization with the team as a major sustainable, scalable competitive advantage.

As a key executive at Deep 6, the Head of People will report to the CEO and can be a Director, VP, or Chief, depending on experience.

DEEP 6 is a venture-backed AI-startup, focused on healthcare analytics with a mission to accelerate innovation in healthcare and bring life-saving treatments to market faster.

To do so, our software radically accelerates clinical trial recruitment and management, which greatly benefits hospitals, patients, CROs and life sciences companies.

To support our rapid growth, we need to strategically scale our team while maintaining our quality, sense of mission, and culture. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do

As our Head of People, you’ll be a key member of and partner to the leadership team, to develop and implement Deep 6’s talent strategy in alignment with its corporate strategy, business goals, mission and values.

To that end you will successfully attract, grow, review, develop, manage, reward, and retain ‘A players’ for each position at Deep 6. And we’re serious about the ‘grow’ part; if all goes well (J), we’ll double our team size this year. That’s not counting the team you will build to support the talent and HR function at Deep 6.

So expect plenty of recruiting while making sure we have the organizational structure and processes in place to support all these great new (and current) team members.

We’d expect you to implement tested best practices and experiment with innovative methods, tools, and processes to offer Deep 6 team members a consistent, top-notch experience and culture, driven by a shared mission and values.

Your success in this role will help drive a culture of autonomy, decision making and innovation throughout the organization, and establish Deep6 as the employer-of-choice for smart, passionate people.

About you

To excel in this role, we’d like you to have the following:

Experience:

  • Superior working knowledge of all areas of talent acquisition, HR, organizational design and business drivers
  • 5+ years progressive relevant People / Ops / HR leadership experience in a growth-oriented software/technology company
  • Experience recruiting for technical and management positions
  • (Advanced) degree in human resources, business, psychology or related field, preferably from a ‘good school’ (i.e. not Trump Academy).

Skills:

  • High EQ & Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong communicator: written policies, presentations, events, karaoke, …
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & can-do attitude
  • Intellectually curious & ambitious
  • Experience with best-in-class systems to support people management.
