Finding patients for clinical trials is notoriously laborious and time-consuming. Artificial intelligence (AI) is well suited to mining large amounts of clinical patient data, structured and unstructured, for matches to increasingly complex eligibility criteria. This helps trial coordinators find more, better patients for trials faster—often in minutes rather than months. This webinar will explain and compare various AI techniques in the context of patient recruitment and report subject identification speed and accuracy metrics.
The speakers will share outcomes of AI-enabled patient recruitment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Best practices and lessons learned will be discussed regarding technology, workflows, and optimizing for human-AI collaboration and augmentation.
Speaker, Kristin Martinez, is Associate Director – International Partnerships for the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She has over 14 years of experience in supporting all phases of the research progresses including basic science, translational research, clinical trials and technology transfer.
