2019 was a banner year for Deep 6. As we enter 2020 at top speed, we wanted to take just a moment to reflect on some of the most exciting accomplishments of 2019 for our team.

Starting with our team, we grew a lot in 2019! We added some incredibly talented people to our leadership team, who have knocked it out of the park in 2019 developing the strategy that will take Deep 6 to the next level in 2020. We also doubled the size of our team overall, so we have a lot of enthusiastic new faces around the office these days. (We aren’t stopping in 2020, check out our current openings!)

And speaking of the office, all this growth meant we had to move! We were lucky enough to snatch up a much bigger office space right down the street from our old office, allowing us to continue our growth while staying in the community we love, Pasadena.

All of this growth is well-earned. In 2019 our team worked hard in partnership with some of the biggest academic medical centers in the country to implement our software and revolutionize their clinical trial recruitment. We look forward to sharing those success stories with you in the coming months.

This created quite a buzz. Our software was the talk of the town, with articles in a variety of major publications. The results of our work with the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute was featured in an article in Nature. We were also included in Forbes’ Top 50 AI Companies to Watch.

Our team crisscrossed the country (and the globe!) to keep up. Not a month went by that our team wasn’t speaking about our software at an industry conference or meeting with potential customers at some new location. And our 2020 calendars are looking even busier!

All of this culminated with the announcement of our Series A round, led by Point72 Ventures, covered in an article in Forbes. Their focus on backing category creators is a huge vote of confidence in our ability to bring meaningful change to the way clinical trials are conducted today.

But beyond all the events, press, and growth – we never lost sight of the most important piece of all. In 2019 we had the honor of contributing to clinical trials that are saving lives and research that is at the cutting edge of healthcare. Our users are finding new and amazing ways to use our software every day to further their understanding of their patients and the medical challenges they’re facing. Our software is fundamentally changing the ways clinicians and researchers can use clinical trials to help their patients, and we’re thrilled to play a role in that.

So as we jump into 2020, that mission is at the forefront of our minds. In the coming months, we’ll have new product and feature announcements that will allow our customers to more easily find and validate patients for their trials, and understand the success of their recruitment efforts as a whole.

If you’d like to stay in the loop with all the events, announcements, and success stories we’ll be sharing this year, subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram). And if you’d like to see our software for yourself, schedule a demo with our team. We look forward to partnering with you in 2020!
